Our mission and goals

We envision that every Liberian has the opportunity to transform his/her life through quality education, which in turn contributes to a better life for Liberia’s people.

LDA-Sweden has the mission to support LDA-Liberia in fulfilling its mission in the Liberian education sector and in becoming strong, effective and sustainable by providing technical support and raising funds for LDA- Liberia activities.

For 2010-15, we have the following objectives:
LDA has the following objectives for the coming years:

1) To provide quality school education to 1200 students in Grassfield School.
2) To provide quality professional technical education to youth in LDA’s Technical College.
3) To carry out infrastructure works in order to build a good learning environment.
4) To continue to prevent the spread of HIV/Aids in Liberia. 
5) To raise the awareness of teachers, students and civil society representatives about human rights, democracy, gender equality and environmental protection.

LDA-Sweden is part and parcel of these activities and provides support through raising funds and support in project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. In addition, LDA-Sweden has the objective of building LDA-Liberia’s capacity as an organization so that it becomes an even stronger, more effective and sustainable Liberian organization. LDA-Sweden also aims to continue its work for the prevention of HIV/Aids and other STIs in Sweden.
