Organization

LDA consists of two institutionally independent sister organizations, LDA-Sweden and LDA-Liberia. LDA-Sweden is strongly committed to local ownership. We believe that Liberians should be empowered to address their development challenges. Therefore, LDA-Sweden takes on the role of facilitator and supporter for LDA-Liberia. 

LDA-Sweden is an association that is governed by its General Assembly and Board. LDA-Sweden’s Board Members, who are all volunteers, provide guidance and advice to staff and are responsible for the macro-management of the organisation by taking decisions on policies and ethics of LDA-Sweden. LDA-Liberia is a non-religious and non-political non-governmental organisation registered in Liberia.
