Technical College

Giving Liberia‘s youth the means to rebuild their country

Through operating a Technical College, LDA wants to make a contribution to the alleviation of the high youth unemployment in Liberia. We believe that Liberia’s youth has to be given the tools to transform their lives and make a contribution to rebuilding their country.

The construction of the Technical College is in its final phase and LDA-Liberia will start running the institution in autumn 2010 with the following courses:

• building construction
• plumbing
• masonry
• electricity
• auto-mechanic
• carpentry.

The target group for the Technical College is the youth in the communities of Barnersville, Gardnersville and surrounding communities from the age of about 18, who have so far not had the opportunity to access job-qualifying education.
